Environment

Natural environment is incorporated as much as possible into daily learning

We pay thoughtful attention to creating an environment that enables our students to develop strong relationships with the world around them, themselves and each other.
Our schools have been carefully designed by professionals, taking into account criteria such as, autonomy, physical challenges, light, amplitude, transparency, exchange, relationship with nature, teamwork, game, intellectual challenges, high cognitive demand, small group work, beauty as an activator for learning, good habits, developmental stages of each age group, safety and care.

These are our settings:
  • • Classrooms: Our Reggio Emilia inspired classrooms aim to create a welcoming, nurturing, home like environment.
  • • Ateliers: We have an art room with the support of mini workshops that encourage our students to explore and celebrate their unique sense of creativity.
  • • Recycling Center: This is a space where students creatively collect objects to be transformed into new objects.
  • • Sensory Motor space: Our materials are selected to respond to our children’s interests, to stimulate thinking, to encourage exploration and the discovery of their 5 senses.
  • • The Central Plaza: We have a meeting place for our community that plugs in natural materials for an infinite number of possibilities.
  • • Outside Amphitheatre: A place where our students transform into performers, creating stories and drama.
  • • Reggio Emilia inspired outdoor: We have playgrounds for each age group, an outdoor kitchen, a garden for green class. This place supports our nature based learning through inquiry.
  • • Patio: This is a place of free game, where students are moving, riding and experimenting with cards, water, sand and blocks.
